'180 Degree Rule' to vie at Fajr Film Festival

Fajr Film Festival to host Iranian film '180 Degree Rule'.

The main competition section of the 39th edition of the event is to screen Ali Mosaffa’s production experience directed by Farnoush Samadi.

The flick features a tragedy that strikes at the heart of a wedding. It is about a school teacher who is preparing to attend a wedding ceremony but her husband suddenly forbids her to go. This makes her do something crazy that results in very bad consequences.

Samadi’s feature directorial debut recently participated in the Discovery section of the 45th Toronto Int’l Film Festival (TIFF) and has been picked as the best film of the TIFF by the Seventh Row, a Canadian not-for-profit publication. 

The cast includes names such as Sahar Dolatshahi, Pejman Jamshidi, Hassan Pourshirazi and Azita Hajian.

The 39th FFF will take place from January 31 to February 10, 2021.

The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the ten-day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
